A call to action is one of the most important things you can include on your website or at the end of your social emdia posts. It's what gets the reader to take the next step to download your freebies, become a customers, follow you, and more!
A good call to action must do 2 things:
- Clearly tell the reader exactly what to do. For example: Enter your email address below.
- Make it clear what they get out of it. For example: So that you can finally learn how to X without having to Y.
Most importantly, it needs to really make the reader excited about doing the thing you want them to do, like making a purchase or downloading a freebie. Think of it as a mini sales-pitch. Your job, when writing a call to action, is to entice the reader.
